The Journey Church uses this app to keep track of its own people. Between Sundays Consulting builds and runs it for them. This page says exactly what is stored, why, and how to get rid of it.
What is stored
- Your name and contact detailsSo the church can reach you and know who you are.
- Where you are in the church's own stepsVisitor, member, volunteer and so on, plus notes staff write about conversations they have had with you.
- Your household, and your children if you check them inA child's name and the times they were checked in and collected, and who collected them. This is a safety record and the church keeps it.
- Giving, if your church connects its giving platformAmounts and dates are copied here read only. Card numbers are never seen by this app at any point.
- What you read, join, and serve onReading progress, group RSVPs, and serving answers.
- Messages you send in the appAnnouncements, rooms, and direct conversations, plus any report you file and anybody you block, so staff can act on them. A report never copies the words of the message.
- Sign-in recordsWhen you signed in, and when somebody changed access or collected a child. Kept for 400 days.
What is never stored
- Card or bank numbers. Giving happens on your church's own giving platform and this app only ever links to it.
- Your location. Nothing here tracks where you are.
- Your contacts, photos, microphone, or anything else on your device.
- Advertising identifiers. Nothing here is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to target you.
Who it is shared with
Nobody, beyond the services needed to run the app: Resend sends the email, Render hosts it, and your church's own giving platform is linked to rather than replaced. Your data is never sold and is never shared with another church.
Getting rid of it
You can delete your account yourself, in the app, on the You screen. That removes your login immediately. Your record at the church belongs to the church, in the same way a paper roll would, so ask the office if you want that removed too.
Children
Children do not have accounts. A child's name and check-in times are entered by a parent at a kiosk or by staff, and exist so the church knows who was in a room and who took them home.
